Web Application for Air Quality Assessment

Nowadays, air over major cities throughout the world has become overburdened with gases produced by Eateries, Crematoria, Automobiles, Industries and other area sources. The death rate due to air pollution is increasing rapidly in the metropolitan areas. With passage of time, people realized that polluted air has serious effects on their health, climate and economics. Weather and climate have integrated impact on human activities resulting in worldwide concentration of the particulates of environmental pollution, viz., chlorofluorocarbons, carbon dioxide, methane, nitrogen oxide, lead and several other dust and gaseous particles.

Emission estimation for any city and site specific area necessitates assessing the load from major pollutants from the entire existing source i.e., Area source (domestic, bakeries, crematoria etc.), Point (industrial) and Line source (vehicular).

An application based on Air Assessment Methodology need to be implemented for more effective study. An online application system can provide more detail and quick results to estimate emission. The web application will consists of database systems that automate the collection, tabulation and reporting of required information. The online application system, will be developed with the process for session control, interface usability features, data validation and error handling processes, which makes it more robust and error-free.
